About Us

Origin City is a representation of our family’s passions, fused together to bring an authentic pasture to plate, nose to tail dining experience. From the food and drink to the interiors, Origin City combines British fine dining and old family traditions with a touch of Scottish ruggedness and Provençal art de vivre.

Our Executive Chef, Graham Chatham, has over 35 years of fine dining experience and has worked at well-renowned restaurants such as Rules and The Langham. His ethos in the kitchen reflects that of Origin City’s ‘great taste, no waste’, celebrating every part of the animal, with innovative and exciting dishes.

With all our meat butchered in-house, the challenge is not in finding the perfect steak or chop but to provide a nose to tail dining experience, which champions British cuisine. From fine dining to traditional dishes that come with a big hit of nostalgia, Graham has reimagined British classics, with a twist that nods to our family’s roots.

About Origin City

Our Farm

Situated on the shores of Loch Striven in Argyll, Scotland, our 600 acres of Scottish pastureland allows our heritage breed livestock to forage and graze in the fresh air. We have a sustainable and organic farming philosophy, which means we don’t use GMO’s, hormones or steroids in our feed, and similarly, no pesticides and artificial fertilisers on our land.

Our livestock – cows, pigs, and sheep – are ‘Heritage Breeds’, born and raised on our land and include grass-fed Black Aberdeen Angus, Tamworth and Large Black outdoor-reared pigs and Scottish Texel-cross sheep.

Our Wine

Our wine list is small but refined, with award-winning wines from a variety of boutique producers, including our own family vineyard, Château De La Cômbe. Located in Provence, where warm sun, the salty sea, and a fierce Mistral breeze provides perfect (most of the time) winemaking conditions, for low-intervention, organic wines. We spent years lovingly restoring the chateau and estate, rebuilding the winemaking cave with state-of-the-art equipment and re-planting and tending to the vines, and it wasn’t long before our organic wines began winning international awards – a testament to quality winemaking in Provence.

Alongside our wines, our bar manager & mixologist, Giacomo, has curated an extensive drinks menu, boasting a wide selection of apéritifs, cocktails and digestives, as well as punchy vermouths, Scottish whiskies and amaro liqueurs.

If you haven’t already visited, our wine bar & shop, 56 West Smithfield, is just across the street.
